Study trip Holland

Our Holland 2024 fishing experience and trend tour takes us to the beautiful Ijsselmeer lake to the fishing villages of Lemmer in Friesland and Urk in the province of Flevoland.

The 3-day study trip and trend tour starts on 22.05.2024 at 12.00 noon in Lemmer. Day 1 begins with an intensive fish workshop at our business partner Sterk Seafood. You will learn more about tuna, zander, flatfish, matjes, vegan fish substitutes, mussels & shrimps from Holland and new concepts.

We spend the evening at Sterk Seafood with a hearty maritime fisherman's buffet and an intensive get-together.

On day 2, we are picked up directly from the hotel by two original Dutch flatboats and we sail through the beautiful town of Lemmer to the lock. There we disembark and visit one of the largest fish producers in the region - Mowi Lemmer. Here we also taste products from the Mowi range. We then go fishing on the Ijsselmeer with a fishing cutter and a sailor. We return in the late afternoon. We then continue with a surf & turf barbecue buffet and a traditional smoked eel meal.

On day 3, we head to the auction in Urk early in the morning. We visit two fish processing companies there and, after a good lunch in Urk harbor, start our journey home at around 2 pm.

Theory, practice, knowledge and event are perfectly coordinated on this adventure trip. This is now our 3rd study trip to Holland - the enthusiasm of the participants knew no bounds. We have therefore decided to do it again.
